§ Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement about the proposal to certify and commit Mr. Cirus Noor to a mental hospital under section 47 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
§ Mr. MellorMy right hon. and learned Friend is currently considering reports recommending that Mr. Noor, who is serving a sentence of imprisonment in Her Majesty's prison Wandsworth, should under section 47 of the Mental Health Act 1983 be transferred to a hospital for treatment. I will write to the hon. Member when a decision has been reached.
