§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many students are likely to be accepted for the Medical Research Council course in laboratory animal science at the Royal veterinary college; and whether this course will be supported by the University Grants Committee and the Medical Research Council.
§ Mr. BrookeI understand that the college expects that the intake to the course in 1984–85 will be between 6 and 8 full-time students. The University Grants Committee and the Medical Research Council have made funding available for three years to help establish the course. At the end of this period the course will be supported in the normal way through the block recurrent grant made available by the UGC to the University of London, and from fee income.
