asked the Secretary of State for Transport what decisions he has reached about the reallocation of road and taffic responsibilities in London, following abolition of the Greater London council; and if he will make a statement.

The proposals set out in last year's consultation paper have been further developed in the light of the comments received. The views of the London boroughs are now sought on some particular aspects. Copies of the further document being sent to London boroughs have been placed in the Library.
