HC Deb 31 July 1984 vol 65 cc184-5W
Mr. Haselhurst

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he has discussed with the Government's partners in the education service his suggestions about the alternative deployment of unsatisfactory head teachers; and if he will make a statement.

Sir Keith Joseph

[pursuant to his reply, 3 April 1984, c. 798–99]: I am inviting comments of the Government's partners in the education service on a number of proposed amendments to the teachers' superannuation regulations including a draft new regulation which would enable head and other teachers to transfer to less demanding and lower paid posts without prejudicing their accrued pension rights.
