(2) what was the amount of subsidy at the rate of 90 per cent. paid to each district and island council in Scotland as grant in 1983–84 towards housing benefit costs for (a) standard cases and (b) the full compensation paid for certificated cases.

§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will estimate the cost of total benefit 103W expenditure of standard cases of housing benefit, and its predecessor schemes, broken down into the various rebates and allowance categories, for each final year since 1978–79; and if he will estimate what proportion of expenditure on rate rebates wen to owner-occupiers.
