§ 45. Mr. Pikeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he has taken to give consular protection to black British citizens when visiting France.
§ Mr. WhitneyConsular protection is available equally to all British citizens visiting France. If any British citizen considers that his or her treatment in France has been of a discriminatory nature, he or she should, if possible, contact the nearest British consular office for advice. Otherwise, on return to the United Kingdom he or she may contact the consular department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and ask for the complaint to be investigated.
