Mr. Terlezki

asked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) if he will make a statement on the implications of the Russian military aid to Jordan for chances of peace in the middle east;

(2) whether he monitors the level of Soviet military aid to Jordan; and if he will make a statement.

A decision is not expected for at least another month, until the results of a meeting between Lambeth borough council and the management committee of the project and its workers are known.
