§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will issue a circular to local authorities drawing up structure plans to the effect that plans which run contrary to stated Government policy will not be accepted.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneWhen preparing structure plans, county planning authorities are expected to have regard to stated Government policies as they affect the planning of the area, and the Secretary of State will wish to be satisfied that they have done so and that such policies have been correctly interpreted before approving submitted plans.
