§ Mr. Chris Patten[pursuant to his reply, 3 July 1984, c. 145]: Information in the precise form requested is not readily available. However tables 9.1 to 9.26 in the "Northern Ireland House Condition Survey 1979 (Preliminary Report)" published by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive show the total number of unfit dwellings in each of the district council areas in Northern Ireland. Copies of the survey report are available in the Library. A new house condition survey is now under way and it is expected that as a result of the priority accorded to housing in Northern Ireland over recent years the new figures will show a general improvement over those published in the 1979 survey report.
