HC Deb 17 July 1984 vol 64 cc103-4W
21. Mr. James Lamond

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what discussions he has had with the National Union of Students about student travel grants since April.

Mr. Brooke

The NUS has not requested a meeting since April to discuss the new travel arrangements. I did, however, attend a parliamentary lobby organised by the NUS on 16 May to discuss those arrangements.

26. Mr. Madden

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received concerning proposed changes in student travel grants.

Mr. Brooke

My right hon. Friend has received some 1,100 representations of various kinds.
