§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has received any requests for political asylum from political leaders from Zimbabwe.
§ Mr. WaddingtonIn 1983, 16 applications for asylum were received from Zimbabwean nationals. A further seven have been received so far this year. I shall write to my hon. Friend when the individual files have been examined.
