§ Mr. Peter ReesYes. GDP is growing at an underlying rate of 3 per cent. a year and is now at its highest ever level. Growth is broadly based; total fixed investment was 669W up 10 per cent. over the year to the first quarter of 1984; and in the three months ending May total export volumes (excluding erratic items) were up 9 per cent. on the same period last year.
