§ Mr. Gouldasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what action is taken to protect the interests of a British firm or industry which complains of dumping, where the corresponding EEC industry suffers little or no damage.
§ Mr. Channon[pursuant to the reply, 6 July 1984, c.333]: We and the Commission do all we can to ensure that the operation of the Community's anti-dumping procedures is sufficiently flexible to protect the interests of British Industry in these circumstances. Experience suggests that, even when they are not directly affected themselves, producers in other member states are none the less prepared to lend their support for the opening of an investigation. Both national and European trade associations do much to co-ordinate this support.
