§ Mr. AncramPregnant women are required to undergo strip searches where this is necessary for female prisoners as part of normal admission, discharge or court attendance procedures; on transfer to a segregation unit; during routine cell and special searches; and following "open" 169W visits. Normal medical supervision of prisoners covers all medical needs, including any emotional effects of such searches.
