§ Rev. William McCreaasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what money has been spent on the provision of books in (a) primary and (b) secondary schools in each of the past 10 years.
§ Mr. Scott[pursuant to his reply, 23 January 1984, c. 52]: The school library service in Northern Ireland is an integral part of the public library service provided by the Education and Library Boards and separate expenditure figures are not available. Nor is it possible to give separate figures for the cost of books and practice materials provided free of charge to pupils.
