Mr. Gregory

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the numbers employed in the schools career advisory service, nationally and by local education authorities, and national average annual salary for 1981, 1982 and 1983, respectively.

[pursuant to his reply, 19 January 1984, c. 277]: Information on the numbers employed in the careers service is given in the following table. The information about the national average annual salary is not readily available.
