§ Mr. MellorThis Government have made clear that they regard the existing legislation as in need of reform. Following the failure of Bills introduced by my hon. 281W Friend the Member for Wycombe (Mr. Whitney) and by Baroness Trumpington in another place to make progress my right hon. and learned Friend has set up a committee of inquiry to consider what changes are needed in the Act. We hope to receive the report of this committee by the summer.
