§ The Prime MinisterThe so-called modus vivendi, signed by American, Canadian and British representatives in January 1948 was not a formal inter-governmental agreement and the arrangements it enshrined have almost all either become unnecessary or have been superceded by later agreements. It has, however, never been formally terminated.
