§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeIn 1982 there were 198 discharges and deaths of private resident patients and also 2,243 outpatient attendances and 79 day case attendances by private non-resident patients in NHS hospitals in the Sheffield district health authority. 1982 figures for the Yorkshire regional health authority and for England are not yet available.
