asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will give details of any programmes or training that will enable obstacles to be removed to enable visually handicapped persons to he included in "Care in the Community" transfers from mental handicap hospitals.

Such programmes and training will vary according to the degree of the individual's mental, visual and other handicaps, but practitioners and planners will find helpful the report of the department's study on the special needs of mentally handicapped people with additional disabilities which is to be published very shortly.
