asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to make a statement on the results and the Government's intended action arising from the analysis of the efficacy of motorway signing about local radio frequencies by the Transport and Road Research Laboratory.

Representatives of all the organisations involved, including the Department, will be meeting tomorrow to consider the results of the experiment and what further action might now be taken. I shall make a statement as soon as possible thereafter.
