asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the latest figure for the percentage of hospital maintenance and ancillary workers covered by incentive bonus schemes.

At 30 September 1983 95.4 per cent. of NHS maintenance staff and 49.6 per cent. of ancillary staff were covered by incentive bonus schemes. The overall coverage for both groups combined was 56.1 per cent.
