§ Mr. Norman LamontThe Government have reaffirmed in the recent White Paper their intention to maintain an effective regional policy, but one more linked to employment and better value for money. Under existing regional policy, Cleveland enjoys special development area status which provides the full range of regional incentives at the highest rates.
