I refer the right hon. Member to my reply to his question today, on battered women. In addition, wider understanding of their problems and more effective responses within available resources will be encouraged by the publication this year of a book based on a seminar arranged by the Department to present research sponsored by the Government to agencies and professions concerned with health and social care, housing and the law.
