asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether the computers at centre 1, East Kilbride will be programmed to calculate whether it is more beneficial for spouses to opt for separate assessment and payment of taxes or joint assessment.

There are no plans to programme the present centre 1 computer to introduce this facility.
