HC Deb 17 February 1984 vol 54 cc355-6W
Mr. John

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he proposes any change in the test of qualification for attendance allowance, in view of the decision in Re Woodling.

Mr. Newton

No. The decision in this case confirms the Department's view that, for the purpose of the conditions for attendance allowance, the requirement of another person's assistance in preparing his meals is not attention in connection with his bodily functions.
