asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he next intends to meet the chairmen of the electricity boards' consultative councils in Scotland.

My right hon. Friend has no immediate plans to meet the chairmen. The chairmen of the electricity consultative councils are, however, also members of their respective electricity boards and I will meet them in that capacity when I meet the boards in the next few months.
