§ Mr. Fallonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing, in terms of pound sterling converted at the appropriate exchange rate for each member state of the European Economic Community, the amount of money paid into European Economic Community funds and the amount of money received from European Economic Community funds in each year from 1973 to 1983.
§ Mr. Ian Stewart[pursuant to his reply, 9 February 1984, c. 741.]: Available information is shown in the table. Figures of member states' gross payments to the EC budget are available for the period 1973 to 1982, but information on member states' receipts is available only for the period 1976 to 1982. Figures for the other member states cover only the major sectors of the budget. But figures for the United Kingdom are total receipts by the public sector from the EC budget.
