HC Deb 09 February 1984 vol 53 c733W
62. Mr. Michael Marshall

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what evidence he has of improving confidence in industry.

66. Mr. Neil Hamilton

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what evidence he has received of a growth of confidence amongst business men and industrialists in the prospects of industrial recovery in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Lawson

The CBI's latest quarterly industrial trends survey (January 1984) is the fourth in succession to show business confidence improving. The improvement is apparent in almost all the 44 individual industries covered, and the survey shows business men and industrialists expecting further progress on output, investment and exports.
