Mr. Colvin

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what is his estimated saving in annual revenue costs of moving the Civil Aviation Authority headquarters out of London.

The chairman of the authority has informed me that there would be substantial non-recurring costs arising from a move which would offset savings for a time, but in the longer term the authority would expect to save about 2 per cent. of its current expenditure.
