§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will take steps to make it a requirement for research assistants and other staff employed by hon. Members serving on Select Committees to make an appropriate declaration of their intention to observe the confidentiality of any parliamentary papers which they may see in the course of their work.
§ Mr. BiffenThe Services Committee will shortly be considering a Sub-Committee report on a subject closely connected to that raised by my hon. Friend. If the Committee then makes a report to the House, an opportunity will no doubt arise for the discussion of my hon. Friend's proposal.
