§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) if he will make a statement on the current level of capacity utilisation in industry within the member states of the EEC and the EEC as a whole;
(2) if he will make a statement on the level of productive potential in EEC member states and within the EEC as a whole.
§ Mr. Channon[pursuant to the reply, 20 December 1984 c. 273]: Data on productive potential in the Community are not readily available. Information on production capacity and untilization are given regularly in "Results of the business survey carried out among managements in the Community" published by the European Community Commission (Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs). The results of the latest survey are in table O of th October 1984 edition. A copy of this publication is in the Library.
