HC Deb 20 December 1984 vol 70 cc321-2W
Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what has happened to the cargo from the German Democratic Republic and Czechoslovakia consisting of food supplies intended for miners' families which was seized by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise.

Mr. Hayhoe

I assume that the question refers to cargo which arrived at Hull in October.

The foodstuffs detained by Customs on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food were re-exported some weeks ago, on behalf of the Medical Aid Committee for Vietnam.
