The information for 1983 is contained in table D1.6 of the annual report of the Registrar General for Scotland for that year, a copy of which is in the Library.

Occupational mortality studies are restricted to years close to census years because of the use which is made of census information. As I said in answer to a previous question from the hon. Member on 30 November, at column610, information for 1979–83 will be published in due course.
