§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list in the Official Report which areas of the west midlands have been (a) downgraded and (b) upgraded as a result of his recent changes in regional aid.
§ Mr. TrippierThe information is as follows:
- (a) No areas in the west midlands were downgraded.
- (b) The following travel-to-work areas in the west midlands were designated intermediate areas: Birmingham, Cinderford and Ross-on-Wye (partly in South-West region), Coventry and Hinckley (partly East Midlands region), Dudley and Sandwell, Kidderminster, Telford and Bridgnorth, Walsall, Wolverhampton.
