asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the stationing of Irish regiments in Northern Ireland.

Irish regiments have not generally been deployed in Northern Ireland for a variety of reasons, not least the additional strain this would place on soldiers and their families. It is not our policy to comment on future deployments.
