§ Mr. Neil Thorneasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he hopes to issue the revised version of HDC(77)1, "The Preparation and Organisation of the Health Service for War".
§ Mr. John PattenCopies of a preliminary draft of revised planning guidelines for the care of the sick and injured in war were sent to the British Medical Association and the Royal College of Nursing at the end of July with an invitation to comment on the draft and the offer of discussions to facilitate consideration. A response from the British Medical Association is awaited.
Because of the importance of the subject, we also propose to provide for full consultation on the draft with the National Health Service and other interests. I cannot say at present when a revised circular will be issued.
