§ Mr. Cunliffeasked the Secretary of State for Employment what assessment he had made of assistance given to the engineering industry training board by the Greater Manchester council of additional funding to provide engineering apprenticeships during the last two years.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonI understand that the engineering industry training board's involvement is limited to the provision of information about trainees to Greater Manchester council, and that the board receives no direct assistance. My Department has made no assessment of this co-operation, which is a matter between the council and the board.
