Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has received details of the work of the joint working party comprising Startclyde regional council and Argyll and Bute, Clydesdale, Cumnock and Doon Valley, Cunninghame, Dumbarton, Kyle and Carrick and Monklands district councils to examine the problems of remoter rural areas in Strathclyde; if he will consider their proposals for a rural aid fund for Scotland; and if he will make a statement.
