HC Deb 10 December 1984 vol 69 c360W
Mrs. Renée

Short asked the Secretary of State for Employment what action he intends to take resulting from the findings contained in the recently published annual report of the Health and Safety Executive on the increase in the number of deaths of employees at their places of work.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The figures published in the annual report of the Health and Safety Commission for 1983–84 showed fewer fatal injuries to employees at work in 1983 than in 1982. Final 1983 data are not yet available but it is not expected that they will show an increase over 1982.
