HC Deb 03 December 1984 vol 69 c40W
Mr. Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he takes to seek to ensure adequate space for wheelchair users in auditoria, sports grounds and concert halls operated by public authorities in Scotland.

Mr. Ancram

The provision of a minimum number of wheelchair spaces in new public buildings, including halls, auditoria and sports stadia, is one of the requirements of the Building Standards (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1984 which were laid before Parliament by my right hon. Friend on 14 November to come into operation on 4 March 1985.
