HC Deb 03 December 1984 vol 69 c84W
Mr. David Young

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many representations he has received in each of the last five years from (a) the North-West regional health committee, (b) Bolton regional district health committee and (c) Bolton community health council, about the level of health service provision in Bolton.

Mr. John Patten

[pursuant to his reply, on 19 November 1984, c. 69]: The hon. Member will be aware that I and my right hon. and learned Friend have visited Bolton health authority to hear at first hand about Bolton's needs. A careful search of our records has revealed no direct representations from the health authorities or the community health council. This is hardly surprising as representations should be made to the regional health authority, which is in close contact with Bolton district health authority about its strategy for the future.
