§ Mr. WhitneyOur broad policy on single payments of supplementary benefit for exceptional needs has not been revised since introduction of the regulated supplementary benefits scheme in 1980, although detailed changes have been made from time to time. The policy is being considered as part of the current review of the supplementary benefit scheme as a whole. The review has received evidence from a wide range of organisations and individuals.
