asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the numbers of civilians currently employed at the Royal Military school of music, Kneller Hall, the Royal Air Force school at Uxbridge and the Royal Marines band training establishment, Eastney (a) on musical training and (b) on other civilian duties.

Mr. Lee

The Royal Military school of music, Kneller Hall employs 40 civilians, of whom 14 are music teachers. The RAF school of music does not employ any civilians. There is no Royal Marines band training establishment at Eastney, but its school at Deal currently employs 98 civilians, of whom 16 are teachers.
