HC Deb 01 August 1984 vol 65 cc270-1W
Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has regarding the treatment of Mrs. Shaiba Radix, a British passport holder, at Pearls airport, Grenada, on 23 June; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Whitney

Mrs. Radix was refused entry to Grenada on 23 June whilst travelling on her British passport issued in her maiden name of Miss Strong. Her husband, Mr. Kendrick Radix, the former Minister of Justice in the People's Revolutionary Government, informed the British high commission representative at St. George's of the incident on 27 June but requested specifically that no action be taken by the high commission. Mr. Radix undertook to let the high commission know the outcome of his own inquiries into the matter. So far he has not done so.
