HC Deb 01 August 1984 vol 65 c388W
Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for the United Kingdom and the United States of America the increase in (i) earnings, (ii) consumer prices, (iii) the real money supply and (iv) real gross domestic product in the decades ended in 1983, 1970 and 1960.

Mr. Peter Rees

The information requested on earn-ings, consumer prices and gross domestic product is published, for the United Kingdom, in the CSO' s economic trends and annual supplements, and, for the United States, in the economic report of the President (1984). Information on money supply can be found, for the United Kingdom, in the Bank of England's statistical abstract and the CSO's financial statistics, and, for the United States, in the successive issues of the economic report of the President. Copies of these are available in the Library.
