HC Deb 30 April 1984 vol 59 c29W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on progress on the redevelopment of Liverpool Lime street station and its effect on the provision of rail services in Merseyside.

Mr. David Mitchell

I understand that the British Railways Board hopes to have structural alterations substantially completed in time to welcome visitors to the International Garden Festival. Fitting out the new buildings will follow and the whole project, once complete, will be of substantial benefit to rail travellers in Liverpool.
