§ Mr.Foulkesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the projects which have been submitted to the European Community with a view to their being financed by the European Economic Community rebate to the United Kingdom.
§ Mr.Ian StewartThe draft 1983 EC budget refund regulations remain blocked by the Council. When the regulations are adopted by the Council the Government 23W will finalise the list of projects, programmes and measures to be supported and submit the list formally to the Commission. The Commission having sought the approval of the management committees will announce its decisions on the projects, programmes and measures to receive financial support.
The lists will include schemes to be implemented throughout the United Kingdom, which meet the criteria set out in the draft regulations for projects, programmes or measures in the employment, energy strategy and transport infrastructure fields.
Provisional lists of schemes have been submitted to the Commission as part of the process for adoption of the regulations, but these may need extensive revision when the regulations come into force.
