HC Deb 12 April 1984 vol 58 c380W
Mr. Gregory

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what information he has on mobility allowance in other European Community states; and how it compares with the United Kingdom.

Mr. Newton

On the latest information available the United Kingdom is the only member State of the European Community that pays mobility allowance. Information about benefits paid to the disabled in each country of the European Community is contained in the Department's publication, "Tables of Social Benefit Systems in the Member States of the European Communities, Portugal and Spain (position at 1 January 1983), a copy of which is in the Library.
