The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy publishes a booklet annually giving personal social services statistics, including numbers of home help hours of service provided. Details are incomplete because not all authorities supply information to CIPFA. The following table, derived from the CIPFA returns, shows the total hours of home help service provided in the years requested. Figures broken down into age bands are not available.
